Getting the demo ready
I've learn a nice bit from creating this game over the semester, coding as well as where to put objects on the screen or what the objects hit to cause them to move away, I think the reason I've gotten this knowledge was so I could move on in flash to create new games as well as have fun with it. The wiki pages could use better links some times as well as changing the few dead links on the web page so it would be easier to use, but I see through the breaks that are coming up I am going to work more in flash hopefully figuring out how to do some more stuff in the games like moving targets and stuff in that area
Using sound
How do you plan to use sound in your game? How will it help enhance the game play and learning experience of your game?
Sound in this game is going to be rather simple however I have yet to find a really good sound to use for the running as well as the food that eat, there is really no enhancement to the game once the sound is made it just makes the game a bit more interesting rater then having a quiet run

Class so far
The class so far has been rather fun, the only thing I've been having problems with is the action script layer of flash mainly since it never really worked for me when I needed to get the hit detection to work with my runner and the apple or one of the foods, once I figured how to do this flash became a nice program to use and can not wait to use it more

What makes this animation stand out to you? THis stands out to me since it really just shows how the human figure moves as well as it is being done in start stop animation

- Creating scenes in a sequence helps game designers tell the "story" of their game through a narrative. How are you using visual storytelling through your sequence of scenes to help players learn about your topic? What are examples of games you played in the Play to learn topic that use storytelling to teach a concept well? How have other narrative games influenced your game? There is really no background story to this game at the moment but it does show the runner over time getting larger or more fit depending on what the player chooses to eat, the games I played I really did not see a story line or well one that I thought was interesting at least, and no other game but the old Nintendo running game has influenced the game

Game reflection
- WHO are you designing your game for? Ages k- 8th grade or anyone wanting a fun health game
- WHAT will your game teach the player about your topic? This game teaches the player about being healthy and exercise can help you grow strong
- WHERE does your game happen?
- Describe the world you will design for your game. The world that the runner is on is mostly going to be farms and in the city during most of the game
- How will this setting add to the learning experience? It shows that a long distance of running and healthy food will help the game
- HOW does your game world teach the player about your topic?
- What happens in the world that helps the player learn? The runner gets more fit as he runs and eats the healthy food
- How does the player use what they learned to make something happen in the game? The player can learn to get the food that is good for them
- WHY is a game a better way of understanding your topic than a quiz? Its more hands on and teaches you about the information rather than just forcing them to guess an answer

Graphic designer/programmer, since we really did not pick out which person did which job, but as for Graphic designer I've had some experience in working with backgrounds and drawing with computers. The best part about working in a team setting is being able to have someone to work with give you feed back right away on how something looks or written in the game giving a chance to make the game better. The greatest challenge with working with a teammate is both of them being here on the same day or being able to contact them if the work is not finished.

Paper Prototyping
With the paper prototyping started I really had to chance my original game idea from a safari game hunting and saving the animals that are becoming extent animals. My game idea is still over top of the level not side scrolling since I feel it gives me a bit more to work with and a bit more of a challenge having the enemies on the map and the character moving at the same time. So the idea is still the same but the game type is very different you have to avoid the enemies rather then attack them.

Ideas for my flash game!
So this game idea was not my first idea but I really liked the idea of doing a game about evolution, the challenge with making this type of game would be changing the character in mid play after a power up has been picked up changing its color, look, or even speed of the bird during the game.
My Topic is Evolution
- What TWO game genres do you think would allow you to explore this topic in a fun and engaging way?
- Genre 1:Action
- Genre 2:Role-playing
- Imagine and describe one game idea that incorporate your topic into one of these genres
My game idea is an action game in which you play a bird, and you have to avoid other
animals, in the area you are in ground or air. As well as collect power ups as you
go alone to change the flight speed, look or even just color of the animal you are
playing.

Creating the game and a few random things
So yeah... creating the mini game was something that I had never done before since I am rather new to the flash program, but I will say this it was rather fun creating the game since I had no clue how much work went into a flash game. I knew there was a nice bit of work going into a lot of the games, but the codes had to be done perfectly or the game would not run or controls would not work or anything like that. But some of the coding on the site really did not work but it was fixed later on. So on that not I do respect the people that make the flash games, but the thing I don't understand is why would you put so much work into a game that well is just terrible
if you put that much work into something you would at least want it to be fun or good.
Oh! Also its been a while since I've posted since I sorta forgot my gmail password! Sorry about that will try and post more often

Reasons for gaming
My interest in gaming has gone back to since I was little and we got our first system which was the side loader NES when I was little, originally it was my brothers but he never really bothered with it. Since then I was huge into gaming moving onto each system as they were coming out every few years. Over the years I've seen many different video game characters my favorite of all the characters being Liquid Snake Solid Snake/ Old Snake (First Picture on the right), I really don't have a reason to why he is my favorite he just is.What really got me into gaming which is not true for some games is just the story and writing that is put into a game to give the characters life and not just make them some guy fighting for his life (which there still are some games like that). Or some games that just give the player a goal like one that has been in mind writing this whole message which would be Pokemon which a lot of players or even gamers might not admit they have played at one point but no one can forget that RPG that they played on the game boy when they were young.
